2nd Annual Fall Colors Mackinac Bridge Race

Come  run the 'Mighty Mac' on October 9th, 2010!

Check-in and packet pick-up is Friday evening, October 8th, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Mackinac Bridge View Park Pavilion.

Location

The race will begin at Bridge View Park at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, with staggered starts, and will end at race headquarters in Mackinaw City.  Transportation from Mackinaw City to the starting line is provided, and back to St. Ignace after the race.

Course

The first half of the race is a steady incline with a slope of 5 degrees.  The total length of the course is 5.6 miles.  All runners must be able to run a minimum of a 12-minute per mile pace to race in this event.

Facilities

There will be restrooms at the starting line of the event and at the finish line, but none are provided during the course.  A water stop will be provided on the exit of the bridge.  You may also carry your own water in a self-contained, litter-proof container.

Refreshments

Full HOT breakfast and refreshments will be available at Bridge View Park starting at 8:00 a.m. and until 9:30 a.m.

Entry Fee

$40.00 per participant.  This includes: race across the Mackinac Bridge, official race bib, race chip technology, official race apparel, commemorative medal for all finishers, transportation to starting area, trophies for division winners and hot breakfast.  Additional breakfast tickets are available for $8.00 each.

All entrants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and medallion.  Awards will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category and gender.  Award ceremony will follow breakfast at approximately 8:45 a.m.

Age Divisions

Men and women: 14-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 & over.  All runners must be able to run a minimum of a 12-minute per mile pace to race in this event.  No walkers and no baby joggers allowed.

Results

Results will be scored by Gault Racing.  Results will be posted on race day, or the next day on www.stignace.com

Registration

Event registration closes at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8th, 2010.  You may either download the registration form by clicking on the file below, and send the form in with check or money order, or you may register online by clicking here!  There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATION OFFERED ON THE DAY OF THE RACE (October 9th, 2010).
